Two years ago I competied the Interflora Florist of the Future at the RHS Flower Show in Tatton Park. I was lucky enough to have won the grand final and have held the title over the past two years. It was my first competition in front of the public, and although I was happy with everything I'd done I didn't expect to win!

The theme of the competition was 'Garden Show time' and I was competing against ten other florists. I had to create four pieces: a 'suprise' piece, a bridal piece, a wearable hat and a free expression design.

The competition takes place every two years, and I have handed back the trophy so it can be given the next winner. I wish all the competitors the very best in their preparations and every success on the day.
Winning has opened up so many opportunities for me and I have had the chance to meet and work with some amazing designers. It is hard work but so worth it when you think of the rewards afterwards. In this video you can see everything I created and finding out I'd won.
